Paris Saint-Germain beat Inter Milan 5-0 (video highlights PSG/Inter Milan) this Saturday at the Allianz Arena in the final of the Champions League 2024-2025. After the victory, Parisian president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi spoke to Canal+.

How does it feel to get something you’ve been waiting 14 years for?
It’s true that this year is very special. We started the Champions League campaign a little bit difficult, everyone was criticizing us, the players were being criticized. Nobody was confident in our project or in our investments. I think today we’ve proved that we’re here, we’re champions, I honestly don’t believe it.
We won 5-0, in the final it’s a dream. We’re very happy, we’re defending the French flag, we’re defending soccer in France. There are a lot of good teams in France, everyone criticizes them, everyone says we don’t have the qualities, but we’ve got the players, and we showed that today.

Have you made a decision to put the club back at the center of the project?
For 14 years, if you tell me that something has to be changed behind the scenes, no. Every year we see something happen. Every year we see something happen. Today I want to thank everyone who’s been here for 14 years. Even legends like Ginola, we’re continuing the history of Paris Saint-Germain.
Every season has been important for what we’re experiencing now. We have players and a very collective team with a coach who is the best coach in the world, the best technical director in the world. We have magnificent players. We have a great club with great players.
What’s your next goal?
He’s won again. I want to win the World Cup, I want to win the Champions League again. We’re the second-youngest team in Champions League history to win, so we’re building something and that’s the goal.
