This Saturday, as part of the 2024-2025 Champions League final, Paris Saint-Germain faced Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena. Simone Inzaghi, the Italian team’s voach, stopped by the press conference after the 5-0 Parisian victory (video highlights PSG/Inter Milan). He spoke of a clear defeat, with a few explanations.
“How does it feel?
“It’s a great disappointment. PSG deserved to win and we’re very disappointed. We had a great campaign, and I’m proud of that, even if we didn’t play well on Saturday night. Their pressing was impressive. We didn’t play our best soccer, but I congratulated the boys. We haven’t won any trophies this season. That’s just the way it is.
How do you explain the gap?
We know it’s painful tonight and we know that defeats can make us stronger. Maybe we were more tired, not precise enough, they always arrived before us. We were playing for the title right up to the last day, but PSG have been champions for weeks. PSG were stronger in this tug-of-war. We deserve to lose”, comments relayed by Le Figaro.
