Gianluigi Donnarumma, the 26-year-old goalkeeper who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 with a contract running until 2026 (following the end of his own at AC Milan), is regularly called into question by fans and observers alike. An extension is currently under discussion, but is still uncertain despite the Italian’s stated desire. His agent Enzo Raiola once again spoke to Stile TV.
“we’re assessing everything calmly
“He’s happy at PSG, there are still a few contractual details to be defined.
Milan?
There are other clubs too, but we’re evaluating everything calmly and I’m serious.
Napoli?
Manna (Napoli’s sporting director, editor’s note) complimented Donnarumma, not De Laurentiis, but because we have a relationship with Manna that has united us for years.”
The agent is honest: several clubs are interested in Donnarumma. It’s logical, as he’s one of the best in the world in his current position. And his representative won’t hide the fact that there are options, especially in the midst of contract negotiations.
However, it’s worth pointing out that both he and the Italian keeper have been saying several times now that he’d like to continue in Paris. That’s the main message. An agreement is therefore expected. It all depends, however, on the importance of the “details” to be settled and the gap that could exist between the positions of each party.
So we’ll have to wait and see, as all avenues are still open. The priority is clear, and it remains to be seen whether an agreement between Donnarumma’s entourage and PSG will be possible. It’s likely, but beware of unpleasant surprises.
