Jimmy Butler (34), star winger of the Miami Heat in the NBA, visited PSG House in Los Angeles, where he shared his enthusiasm for Paris Saint-Germain. He believes that the Parisian club is best equipped to win the next Club World Cup, underlining the growing impact of soccer in America (transcribed by us).
Butler: “You can come here and see top-level soccer”.
You have to see the Club World Cup for real. I know we can watch on the internet, on TV. But it’s so different in person. You can come here and see top-level soccer. I can’t wait to see who comes out on top. But I have a feeling it will be PSG. I’m very enthusiastic, because I think that soccer, or soccer in this country, is on the rise.
All the top players come here to play, to make their mark and show their face. And then it’s going to give our young people another thing, another goal, another dream to achieve, and I love that. As everyone knows, it’s definitely my favorite sport. I’m just not very good at it. But for young people, for soccer here in America, it’s huge.
