Paris Saint-Germain took on Seattle Sounders on Monday evening at 9:00 pm. The Red and Blues came out on top in a totally controlled match, winning 0-2 (video highlights Seattle Sounders/PSG). This victory, coupled with Atlético Madrid’s 1-0 win over Botafogo, means that the capital club are now in first place, guaranteeing them a place in the last eight. Hachraf Hakimi, the Parisian full-back who scored tonight, spoke to DAZN about the victory:
Hakimi: “There are no easy matches”.
There’s no such thing as an easy match?
Yes, as you said, there are no easy matches. It’s the World Cup and we know we have to stay focused from start to finish. Today we showed character and we showed that we deserve to win.
How would you assess the team’s current form?
We know it’s not easy coming here. It’s very sunny and the pitch is very dry. We’ve worked hard and we’re still tired at the end of the season. But we’re ready, we had to keep on working, and we have to keep on working for the future.
