Achraf Hakimi, the 27-year-old Paris Saint-Germain right-back, played only about thirty minutes of Sunday evening’s match against Brest (Matchday 4 of Ligue 1)—despite starting the game—due to what appears to be a muscle injury. PSG released an official statement on Monday to provide an update.
“After sustaining a minor right thigh injury during the match against Brest last night, Achraf Hakimi will undergo treatment for the next two days. A further medical assessment will be carried out at the end of this period.”
There is no precise return date yet, but it seems Hakimi could be back relatively soon. This is generally good news, especially since there is only one match left before the international break begins next Monday. That said, it is a significant fixture: an away game at the Stade Vélodrome this Sunday against Olympique de Marseille, concluding Matchday 5 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season. It is unlikely Hakimi will feature in that match, but there is reason for optimism regarding his subsequent availability.
