After arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 from Benfica, 23-year-old striker Gonçalo Ramos went through a difficult period of adjustment, first with a lengthy illness, then with an injury in the first half of the 2024-2025 season. Although there has been some improvement since then, he has not fully established himself and rumors are mounting. Josué Cassé, Foot Mercato reports that the player is likely to stay in the capital.
“Exclu FM : Gonçalo Ramos determined to stay with PSG
the player feels comfortable in Paris and has no plans to leave the capital
a departure is not on the agenda for the management
contract runs until June 2028″
The future of Gonçalo Ramos, 24, has never looked so stable at Paris Saint-Germain. Despite a season marked by stiff attacking competition and rotation status under Luis Enrique, the Portuguese has never expressed the slightest desire to leave the club. On the contrary, he repeats that he feels at home in Paris, downplaying the transfer rumours that regularly send him to Serie A or elsewhere. On the management side, the line is clear: no departure is envisaged, unless an exceptional offer is made, which seems unlikely given the amount invested to snatch him from Benfica (€65m + €15m bonus) and his contract running until 2028.
Despite his limited playing time, Ramos has been convincing in his professionalism and his ability to deliver on key occasions (18 goals this season). PSG, which relies on his versatility and state of mind, sees him as a reliable addition to its attack, especially at a time when stability and depth on the bench are sought after to aim for any title. So, barring a turn of events, Gonçalo Ramos is set to begin a third season in a Parisian shirt, determined to establish himself further in the attacking rotation.
