This Sunday evening, Paris Saint-Germain won 4-0 (PSG/Inter Miami highlights) against Inter Miami in the Round of 8 of the 2025 Club World Cup. Here, we present you with some of the highlights and lowlights of the victory.
Tops –
Vitinha/Neves/Ruiz
The three Parisian midfielders were at it again, with goals, decisive passes and an ever-present presence in the build-up to the match. All in control, they seem to understand each other perfectly. Their game is well oiled, and they have the ability to play in all positions, to project themselves and to constantly create danger. For their opponents, it’s often mission impossible to keep them out of the game.
Hakimi
He’s the big man at PSG. He scores another goal, he plays high, he defends, he’s the all-rounder. His game was again excellent, both in terms of attitude and leadership. We’re going to have to manage him a bit, as he hasn’t stopped for two years and the African Cup of Nations is coming up. If Paris wants to continue to grow, it will have to take care of its key players.
Barcola
Despite his great clumsiness, he shines with his ability to create a large number of chances. He hurts opponents and has fun. His finishing is inadequate and he needs to improve, but he’s never stingy with his effort and makes big differences for his team.
Flops –
Incoming players
PSG were relatively weaker in the second half after all the changes. This shows that there are obvious limits, whether in terms of confidence or simply the level of play at any given moment. Hernandez is floundering, Beraldo can be worrying in strictly defensive terms, and Zaïre-Emery, despite his fighting spirit, is no longer showing that he’s a cut above the rest. Luis Enrique still has some work to do if he is to have a reliable squad in terms of both quality and quantity.
A certain fatigue
We can feel that our bodies are almost empty. The season is still long. It’s hard to imagine PSG stringing together a second great season without any key recovery time. Be careful not to overdo the effort. There are still 3 games to go before the deserved vacations.
