Having arrived in the 2023 summer mercato from Inter Milan, 30-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has not made the move to Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, and he has been loaned out to Fenerbahçe for the second half of the 2024-2025 season. He has bounced back well and there has been talk of a permanent move to the Turkish club this summer. This Tuesday, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Fenerbahçe are confident, following the arrival of 22-year-old striker Jhon Duran from Al-Nassr.
“Understand Fenerbahçe are confident to get Milan Škriniar deal done after Jhon Durán!
Club working hard to advance in the next days and bring the defender back already in July.”
A fairly credible announcement, since this journalist is generally reliable and, above all, there have already been concrete elements in this dossier. Skriniar and Fenerbahçe have announced their desire to continue working together, which is obviously a good sign. Negotiations still need to take place, so there’s no certainty.
But all the media assure us that the clubs are well advanced in their negotiations, and that the salary is also on the table. We can hope for an official announcement soon, even if we must always be wary during the mercato.
