Having arrived in the 2023 summer mercato from Inter Milan, 30-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has not made the move to Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, and he has been loaned out to Fenerbahçe for the second half of the 2024-2025 season. He has bounced back well and there is now talk of a permanent move to the Turkish club this summer. This Wednesday, Fenerbahçe reports that the Slovakian is about to undergo his medical.
“Footballer Milan Skriniar is on his way to Istanbul to continue his transfer negotiations with our club and undergo a medical examination. We are presenting him to the public.”
After relatively lengthy discussions, for a player who was already at the club on loan, the deal is finally done for Skriniar. Barring any surprising problems at the medical, he will be able to concentrate fully on this adventure.
It’s a welcome move for the Slovak, as it is for PSG, where he seemed a little lost in coach Luis Enrique’s game. All the more so with a back that had to be put in order over the months. The defender was able to get back on track, so much the better. He has no shortage of great things to look forward to with this ambitious club, surrounded by a great deal of fervour, while PSG have managed to sell a player who arrived as a free agent for an estimated €12 million (including bonuses).
