On Friday, two days before tomorrow’s Club World Cup 2025 final against Chelsea at the Stade MetLife (kick-off 9pm CET, broadcast on DAZN), Lucas Beraldo, 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender, was present at the press briefing. An opportunity to talk about the match and the preparations leading up to it.
Luis Enrique? He’s the most important person in our project!
“I think it’s a match that will crown our season, with the potential to win all the titles we’ve competed for.”
“I think it’s a match that will crown our season, with the potential to win all the titles we’ve competed for.
I think no matter who we were playing against, we were going to do our best, and against Real Madrid we played very well, we managed to win the game brilliantly, and I think that gives us a lot of confidence for the final.”
PSG are just one match away from concluding an already historic and fantastic season. Even though the Parisians won 4-0 in their previous match against Real Madrid, there doesn’t seem to be any surplus of confidence. As several members of the squad, including coach Luis Enrique, have said, this is a final and anything can happen.
The Parisians know how to approach a match, so as to give themselves every chance of winning. Chelsea are also a young, up-and-coming and hungry team, which should make for a very balanced encounter. After the roof of Europe, PSG can land on the roof of the world, and to do so they will have to beat an English club once again, to crown a season already rich in success.
