Ilya Zabarnyi, 22-year-old central defender from Bournemouth (contract until 2028) and Ukraine, has been announced as a defensive priority for Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer window. There is even talk of progress towards a transfer to PSG. Journalist Fabrice Hawkins spoke to RMC Sport today about the situation.
“| There is currently a €3 million difference between what Bournemouth is asking for and what PSG is offering for Ilya Zabarnyi!
The transfer will be completed by the end of the week, or even early next week!
He will be a PSG player!”
Given the proximity of the transfer, it could well accelerate and be completed quickly. In the coming days, it’s quite likely. But beware, the media tend to say it will be very soon, until it actually happens. By dint of repeating it, one of the announcements is true. We’ll wait to be certain of the timing.
But earlier this Thursday, there was talk of an agreement getting closer, with “only” the bonuses still under discussion. We can hope that PSG will wrap up this major deal soon. It’s time; the 2025-2026 season is fast approaching.
