Presnel Kimpembe, Paris Saint-Germain’s 30-year-old central defender whose contract runs until June 2026, made a limited return to competition during the 2024-2025 season after two years without playing. But he now appears to be pushed towards the exit. RMC Sport reported this Friday that there are indeed clubs interested in him.
“According to our information, Kimpembe is currently being courted by Qatar. The names of the interested clubs have not yet been revealed.”
It’s a credible outcome for Kimpembe, as it’s hard to imagine him returning to the very highest level. Qatar appears to be a realistic option, given the close ties with Paris Saint-Germain and a league that is still striving to develop. A reunion with Marco Verratti, the PSG legend now playing in Qatar, could also be on the cards.
