Paris Saint-Germain won 0-1 against Nantes this Sunday at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Matchday 1 of Ligue 1 2025-2026. After the match, Parisian coach Luis Enrique spoke at a press conference.
Enrique: “The players showed their level, they’re ready.”
Are you satisfied with your team’s performance this Sunday?
“I’m very happy. The first objective was the victory. We deserved these three points. We controlled the ball for 90 minutes. In the first half, we didn’t create much, but that’s normal against an opponent who plays with a deep block.”
Do you feel an improvement in your ball control, as you hoped after Tottenham?
“It’s not easy to get it back. It was a requirement for us.” Some players have shown their level, they’re ready. For others, it’s more difficult. With more training, we’ll find it again. That’s the key for us.”
Enrique: “To win everything, we need all the players.”
What did you think of Zabarnyi’s debut?
“His technical and physical condition is perfect for the style of play I like. He’s comfortable on the ball. And without it, he generally wins the ball. He played a very good match.”
Did your four substitutions change the course of the match?
“With the players’ physical condition, it’s important to have players who come on at the end. It’s like in the last match against Tottenham. To win everything, we need all the players.”
