Alexandre Letellier (34 years old), a goalkeeper trained at Paris Saint-Germain who notably played for Angers and who finished his career at PSG (2020-2024), decided to retire from playing with an announcement on Sunday. The goalkeeper had been without a club since leaving the capital. He posted an emotional message, particularly focused on Paris.

Letellier “I’ve been lucky enough to live my passion for 15 years, winning titles, and working alongside extraordinary players.”

“After a whole year spent working alone, searching for a new project, and after much reflection, it’s time to make the decision to close the page on my career as a professional player.

I’ve been lucky enough to live my passion for 15 years, winning titles, and working alongside extraordinary players.

It’s a difficult decision, given the many emotions, friendships, life lessons, and memories that football has given me that will remain etched in my memory forever.

To my wife, thank you for the love you have for me, for accompanying me on this adventure, for your patience, and for supporting me through good times and bad.

To my family and lifelong friends, thank you for being there and following me everywhere, despite the sometimes significant distance, and for remaining the same.

To all the presidents, directors, coaches, goalkeeping coaches, staff members, doctors, physiotherapists, stewards, employees, and of course, players: thank you for your trust, your commitment, your advice, and your presence, which have contributed to all these wonderful years and to the man I have become.

Letellier “This passion will always be a part of me, in one way or another.”

To all the clubs, thank you for allowing me to wear your jerseys and defend your colors. Life has given me the privilege of starting at the youth academy and proudly ending my career with my lifelong club: Paris Saint-Germain.

To the supporters of the various clubs, thank you for your support and for the energy you have given me.

Thank you, Jimmy, for supporting me for the past year, working hard and cheerfully, in the hope of finding a new goal.

This isn’t a goodbye to football… simply the end of a great chapter.

This passion will always be a part of me, in one way or another.

From the bottom of my heart: thank you all.”

Letellier would undoubtedly have liked to reach 100 professional matches, as he stops at 92. But that’s not the main thing. The Parisian kid is mainly remembered for his rich career, with great experiences to be had, especially his four years at PSG, which occupies an important place in Europe. A dream that many Parisian supporters share. He was able to live it, enjoy it, and forge strong bonds.

We can find them with some touching comments following this post. We can only thank Letellier for his professionalism and salute his commitment to PSG. Perhaps we will see him again at the Parisian club one day, in a different role.
