This Friday, the women’s teams of Paris Saint-Germain and Montpellier faced each other at the PSG Campus as part of Matchday 10 of the 2025–2026 Arkema Première Ligue. After the 2–2 draw, defender Elisa De Almeida (27) spoke to PSG TV.
De Almeida: “We never gave up until the end.”
“The positive point of the match is that we never gave up until the end. We managed to come back into the game, but now we’ll need to question ourselves after this match. We’ll look at everything on video. There are still matches to play, against Benfica and Paris FC, and it’s up to us to work hard. We’ve had a slightly complicated week and it showed tonight. We need to rest properly for next week.”
It’s difficult to feel satisfied after a somewhat disappointing match and two points dropped at the end of an already frustrating week (with the Champions League elimination). However, De Almeida rightly highlights the team’s ability to fight until the very end to secure a draw. That’s not something to overlook — it’s even a foundation to build on for better things ahead. Of course, there is still work to be done.
