Day 3 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase was played this week. UEFA then organized a series of fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who drew with PSV Eindhoven at the Parc des Princes (1-1), has no player selected in UEFA’s Team of the Week. But there is 1 from Ligue 1: Takumi Minamino (AS Monaco’s 29-year-old striker).

Hopefully, we’ll soon be able to find some Parisians in this week’s team of the week, as it will mean that at last a match will be fully convincing. Competition is always fierce in this competition. As you can see from the results, there’s no room for error.
At least, in the meantime, Ligue 1 regularly reminds us that it has real qualities. There were 3 players on Matchday 2, but this time Minamino fully deserves to be there, and you’d think a few of the league’s other residents would be there too.
The most important thing is that French clubs didn’t lose this week.
