Pedro Fernandez Sarmiento, often called Dro Fernandez, was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this winter. The 18-year-old midfielder doesn’t want to extend his contract with FC Barcelona, which expires in 2027, and has a €6 million release clause that PSG would like to trigger. Djamel now claims that the player has spoken with coach Luis Enrique and is ready to join.
“Luis Enrique was able to speak directly with Dro Fernandez.”

The Spanish attacking midfielder was very receptive to the coach’s pitch and made it clear to the club that he was very excited about the prospect of playing for PSG.
There’s significant competition for his signature, but there’s a lot of optimism within the club regarding its completion.
Everyone agrees that PSG has made good progress on this deal, which is encouraging. The fact that Dro Fernandez and Luis Enrique share the same agent is also an advantage. He’s also a player whose talent and versatility would fit perfectly into the Parisian project. All this for a release clause that seems like a steal.
However, nothing is official yet; there’s no official confirmation, and things could still move very quickly. Even so, a deal that’s suddenly this far along is often a very good sign.
