Paris Saint-Germain has a new transfer target in mind, this time concerning Aymen Assab, the 17-year-old midfielder. According to L’Equipe, Monaco is interested in the player, whose contract is expiring. The young Parisian also remains in contention in the Youth League, with a semi-final against Real Madrid scheduled for April 17.

“ASM hopes to make a convincing offer to secure the Frenchman’s signature”

“The club from the Principality is interested in midfielder Aymen Assab (17 years old), whose contract with the Parisian club is expiring. PSG offered him a trainee contract a few weeks ago. Negotiations with Paris are not yet complete, but AS Monaco hopes to make a convincing offer to secure the Frenchman’s signature. Assab is a key player for PSG’s under-19 team. He has notably distinguished himself in recent weeks in the Youth League, where Paris will play a semi-final against Real Madrid on April 17 at 6:45 pm.”

In a typical transfer market scenario, the buzz surrounding Aymen Assab reveals one key point: as soon as a young player starts to gain value both on and off the pitch, rival clubs accelerate their pursuit. Monaco isn’t targeting an unknown quantity, but rather a midfielder who has risen to prominence in recent weeks and whose situation remains open despite PSG’s offer.

The timing is crucial: Paris hasn’t finalized the deal, the player continues to impress with the U19s, and the Youth League showcase can only increase the interest surrounding him. At this stage, it’s less about a decisive offensive and more about putting real pressure on the Parisian club as the summer transfer window approaches.
