On Saturday evening, Paris Saint-Germain secured a 3-0 victory against Angers in Matchday 31 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season at the Stade Raymond-Kopa. Here are the highs and lows of this win.
Highs –
❤️What a night for Beraldo!
Lucas Beraldo recently transitioned from defender to midfielder for PSG. While the 22-year-old didn’t adapt perfectly to this new role, he performed well tonight. He was very active and, more importantly, involved in every goal: providing the penultimate pass for the opening goal, assisting for the second, and scoring the third. He’ll need to replicate this performance against a different opponent, but it’s a very positive start.
A comfortable lead over Lens.
Lens drew 3-3 against Brest, a golden opportunity that PSG seized to extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1. They also boasted a significant goal difference (+15 compared to Lens). And all this with a well-rotted squad – a great night for Paris.
No injuries…
It’s not the most important thing, but it’s close. We saw it clearly in the squad management. PSG finished without any injuries and can calmly prepare for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
And Nuno Mendes is back!
Paris’ preparation is all the more positive as Nuno Mendes, the 23-year-old left-back, has returned to action after a brief injury. He should be able to start against Bayern, although we also noted some careful management of Lucas Hernandez (30).
Lows –
😡Gonçalo Ramos was sent off.
On what was otherwise a relatively quiet evening for PSG, the 24-year-old striker had a slight overzealous moment. It’s a shame, especially since he’d already received a yellow card and could have restrained himself in his pressure on the goalkeeper. He will therefore be suspended for the next Ligue 1 match, next Saturday against Lorient (matchday 32). A real complication in terms of managing the game.
