Kevin Gameiro, who played for Paris Saint-Germain from 2011 to 2013 and won the first French league title under Qatari ownership, remains a supporter of the capital club. Speaking to RMC, the striker, who also played for Atletico Madrid (2016-2018) and the French national team (13 caps), shared his thoughts on the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal, to be played on Saturday, May 30th in Budapest.
Gameiro “They’re going to prepare well so they can bring the Cup back to Paris.”
“They have the opportunity to make history for the club and for the Champions League as well. Winning the Champions League twice in a row isn’t something many teams have achieved. There’s still one match left, and they’re going to prepare well so they can bring the Cup back to Paris.”
This final is eagerly awaited by all Parisian supporters and other football fans. PSG has the opportunity to make history, not only for itself but also for French football. A victory would see them become the first French club to win the Champions League twice. On a European level, they would also join the very exclusive club of teams that have won the trophy twice in a row.
Parisian coach Luis Enrique will do everything in his power to make this happen. Meanwhile, Arsenal, in PSG’s position last year, has the potential to lift its first Champions League trophy. A hard-fought match is expected, with, we hope, a great spectacle and a positive result for our Parisians.
