Alexei Batrakov, the 20-year-old Russian attacking midfielder from Lokomotiv Moscow (contract until 2029), is one of Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer targets (his agent has confirmed this). It remains to be seen where the various discussions will lead. Russian agent Dmitry Cheltsov announced on the program European Review that the deal is practically done. The report in the Russian media outlet Championnat mentions a fee of €25 million.

“While PSG has just won the Champions League, the Russian media outlet Championnat reports that young Aleksey Batrakov (born 2005) is expected to sign with Paris for €25 million.
Agent Dmitry Cheltsov stated on the program “Européen Review” that the transfer is 95% complete and should be finalized by mid-June.
Batrakov had a very impressive first season with Lokomotiv Moscow, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists in 28 league matches.
Last week, Anton Mitryushkin stated that he was certain his young teammate would sign with PSG.”
Note that this is not his agent (at least not officially), and Dmitry Cheltsov might be jumping the gun a bit. However, he could also be in a good position to have information. In any case, the transfer continues to gain traction. Even from Batrakov’s perspective, with a rather telling photo posted on social media.

It seems this great talent is getting closer to PSG, and it’s shaping up to be a very shrewd move. Even though we haven’t seen him play yet, given that his league is now excluded from European competition. Let’s hope the good news is confirmed. It’s hard not to trust the choices made by the Parisian club lately.
