Paris Saint-Germain welcomed Toulouse FC to the Parc des Princes for the 12th day of Ligue 1. The match was won with a 3-0 clean sheet, despite situations not always well defended or exploited by the Rouge et Bleu. Vincent Sierro, Téfécé midfielder and Swiss international, spoke to DAZN about the Toulousan defeat.
Vincent Sierro: “They managed to hurt us with their individual qualities”.
Any regrets?
Yes of course, we came here to try and get a result, we had a game plan and we knew we had to be patient. We had a game plan and we knew we had to be patient. We stayed in the game and that gave us our chances. We had three or four clear opportunities to get back into the game. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed and then they managed to hurt us with their individual qualities.
Against this team, you have to be clinical?
If you want to get a result here, you have to play a perfect game offensively and defensively. I think that in the second half we have some big situations that we don’t take advantage of. Last year we managed to win here, we were really clinical in front of goal. Today we didn’t.
“These matches come down to very little.
What did you miss?
A bit of efficiency defensively and offensively, but I can’t fault the team. I saw that everyone fought, everyone ran for each other and we know that against a team like that you have to double your efforts. You’ve got to help each other, you’ve got to overtake and do a lot of racing. We’re disappointed today, but we’re going to keep the positive and improve on the negative, because these matches come down to very little.
Is the score heavy?
Yes, of course it hurts to lose 3-0. We came here to get a result, and whatever the score, we’re disappointed.
