Ousmane Dembélé, the 29-year-old Paris Saint-Germain and French national team striker, spoke to TF1 after Les Bleus‘ 3-1 victory against Northern Ireland last night in a friendly match. He was asked to discuss his team’s attacking positions and his own situation.
Dembélé: “We’re also trying to understand each other well.”
A style of play with a lot of positional changes?
I’m happy with the style of play. As you saw, we move around a lot. We spread out a lot with the three forwards. We also try to understand each other well. We’ve been playing in this position since March. It’s very good; we’re trying to be ready for the match against Senegal.
Are you more comfortable on the right or in the center?
A bit of both. Michael, Kylian, Désiré, and I switch positions a lot. It doesn’t really matter. The most important thing is knowing how to play in the right position. Whether it’s in the center, on the right, or on the left, it doesn’t really matter. I feel good. I’m trying to prepare well for the match against Senegal.
