Having arrived from Mallorca during the summer transfer window in July 2023, Lee Kang-in, a 25-year-old South Korean midfielder/winger, is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028. He took some time to adapt and establish himself, but has since grown in stature. He has been the subject of rumors in recent weeks, notably with interest from Atlético Madrid and the possibility of a contract extension. Today, Cadena SER reports that the South Korean has already reached an agreement with the Spanish club.

🔴🔵 Lee Kang-in 🇰🇷 has reportedly reached an agreement with Atlético Madrid, according to @La_SER. Negotiations are ongoing between the clubs.
The Spanish media outlet claims that this agreement has existed since last winter, when rumors were already rife about Lee Kang-In’s potential transfer to Atlético Madrid. It’s not impossible; it’s a plausible scenario for the future of the Korean international.
He hasn’t been able to fully establish himself in Paris and could therefore be looking for a new challenge. Similarly, PSG could open the door and seek another player to further strengthen their squad. However, nothing is finalized, nothing concrete. We’ll have to wait for confirmation. In Atlético’s case, it’s worth noting that an agreement between the clubs is far from certain, even if the one with the player is confirmed. Which isn’t the case yet.
