Bradley Barcola, the 23-year-old forward signed by Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 on a contract running until June 2028, established himself at both PSG and the French national team. However, he remained something of a substitute for big matches in Paris and turned down a contract extension offer. He is now set to leave for Liverpool. Journalists Marc Mechenoua (Onze Mondial) and Abdellah Boulma reported this Monday that the French international has completed the second part of his medical examination and that the official announcement is expected in the coming hours.
Marc Mechenoua:
Bradley Barcola finished the second part of his medical examination in Liverpool this Monday morning. Official announcement expected today.
Abdellah Boulma:
Medical examination completed for Bradley Barcola. The French forward underwent the final tests this Monday morning in Liverpool. Now, only the official announcement of his transfer remains
Barcola had already been spotted yesterday at the start of his medical, so there was very little doubt about the move. The only uncertainty concerned the exact timing—specifically, whether the tests were fully concluded. That is now clear, so the transfer should be made official soon, although we have seen in the past that it can sometimes take time—possibly to ensure the best possible communication strategy.
However, it would be very surprising if the forward’s signing with Liverpool were not announced by the clubs this Monday. As a reminder, the deal is valued at approximately €145 million.
