On Thursday evening, the Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City women’s teams faced off at the PSG Campus for the third matchday of the 2026-2027 Women’s Champions League. Following a draw—secured by PSG thanks to a late-game goal (1-1)—PSG left-back Elimbi Gilbert spoke to PSG TV about her equalizing goal.
Elimbi Gilbert: “We finish with 1 point—it’s an important one.”
How do you feel about the match?
Honestly, it was a fairly tight game, and an important one for both teams. We’re walking away with 1 point today; it’s an important point, and we’ll take whatever we can get on every matchday of the Champions League.
Elimbi Gilbert: “Our thoughts are with Sakina.”
A word about your goal?
First of all, our thoughts are with Sakina (Karchaoui), as she had to leave the pitch due to an injury. As for the goal, Griedge (Mbock) played a long ball forward; I didn’t overthink it—I just went for it and finished it properly. I’m very proud of that.
