As is the case after every round of league play, L’Équipe has compiled its “team of the week” for matchday 9 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season, which took place this weekend (find the results and standings here). Following their 1-5 victory over Le Havre at the Stade Océane, two Paris Saint-Germain players have been named to the side.

It was a safe bet that 27-year-old right-back Achraf Hakimi would be included, following an exceptional performance: three goals and two assists, not to mention his defensive contributions. The inclusion of other Parisians was less certain, even though the team performed well and several individuals were in good form. 21-year-old forward Mika Godts certainly earned his spot after a highly convincing display, capped off with a goal.
One might also have considered 20-year-old Senny Mayulu, who contributed both a goal and an assist. However, the forward positions were occupied by the standout performances of 26-year-old Lassine Sinayoko and 23-year-old Elye Wahi, who were directly involved in three and four goals, respectively, for Paris FC and Nice. There is real quality in this league, and many players deserve to be recognized.
