As it does after each round of league matches, L’Équipe has drawn up its team-type for the 15th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, which was played over the weekend (find results and standings here). With their 1-3 victory over Olympique Lyonnais (video summary PSG/Lyon) at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain saw 1 of their players selected: Désiré Doué (19-year-old midfielder/winger).
There were no surprises for Doué, impressive against Lyon and decisive (1 assist). There could have been a superb goal on the counter, but it was disallowed for offside earlier in the action. It’s a pity, but the shot will always be remembered as confirmation of his rise to prominence. We can only wish him every success in following this up.
Other Parisians seemed to be candidates for selection, such as Achraf Hakimi (26-year-old right-back), Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker), the midfielders or Willian Pacho (23-year-old defender). Other players, however, were clearly more memorable for the sports newspaper. The good news is that there’s plenty of competition in Ligue 1.
