Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to part ways with Yoram Zague. According to Benjamin Quarez, the 20-year-old Parisian defender is set to join Paphos on loan with an option to buy. An agreement has already been reached between the two clubs regarding this move.
“Cypriot club Paphos has reached an agreement with #PSG for the loan of Yoram Zague, including an option to buy.”
This departure confirms that Yoram Zague is no longer part of PSG’s sporting plans. After a mixed initial stint at FC Copenhagen—cut short during the winter—followed by a spell at Eupen during the second half of last season, the Paris-trained full-back is heading out on a third consecutive loan.
The inclusion of an option to buy is a key aspect of the deal. The Parisian club is no longer looking merely to provide playing time for its young defender but is also aiming to pave the way for a permanent exit. Shut out of the pecking order and deemed surplus to requirements within the squad, Zague will now attempt to revitalize his career at Paphos, the reigning Cypriot champions.
