Lucas Hernandez, 28-year-old defender for Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team, was injured at the end of last season in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund. Unfortunately, he ruptured the anterior ligament in his left knee, and was out for months. He is finally back, but his recovery has been delayed by illness, according to RMC Sport.
“Hernandez still hasn’t returned to competition. He was recently affected by a viral syndrome. To justify his absence from collective training sessions, the club from the French capital says that he is still ill. His return will depend on how his illness progresses.”
Unfortunately, Hernandez has to wait a little longer due to illness. Although he probably wouldn’t have played straight away anyway. We’ll need to be careful and take our time after such an absence. We hope he’ll be able to train with the group soon and then compete. Maybe that will be in 2024.
