A falling out between Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and John Textor, President of Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais, was a major topic of discussion on RMC Sport. Daniel Riolo took the opportunity to take a swipe at the Parisian boss, one of his favorite targets.
@DanielRiolo: “Nasser has never won anything on the European stage. In Europe, all the big leaders look down on him, and in France, he rules through money. He’s strong with the weak, weak with the strong.pic.twitter.com/OJqABEkMRt

One suspects that Riolo would jump at the chance with his usual style, punchlines and no details. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is out of his depth in Europe and is only making headway in French soccer with his money. He has done nothing to help French football, and is nowhere to be seen in the face of Europe’s top clubs.
It’s exhausting. It’s as if the PSG president had only won his place on soccer’s governing bodies through money, never through ideas, discourse or good relations.
Summing up his relationship with the directors by the fact that Paris hasn’t won the Champions League is perhaps above all an indication of how Riolo may view other people. Just as he may belittle certain other observers or fans who disagree with him.
For example, he should not have mentioned Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s strong stance on the Super League launched by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus in particular.
