This Saturday, as part of the ninth matchday of Ligue 1 2025-2026, Paris Saint-Germain faced Brest at the Stade Francis Le Blé. Ludovic Ajorque, the 31-year-old striker for Brest, spoke to beIN SPORTS after Paris’s 3-0 victory.
Ajorque “They’re simply better than us.”
It was a huge game in terms of energy expenditure, but it wasn’t enough?
They’re simply better than us. We gave it our all, we tried to play the best game possible. There was a turning point, if we’d scored the penalty, I think it would have been a completely different game. But we can’t blame him, he’s scored so many penalties, so today, well, it’s lost. We need to recover now for Le Havre.
Disappointment or frustration?
We tried to play the best game possible. The coach gave us a game plan, and we tried to follow it to the letter. We lost 3-0. I’m not going to say it was close, but we gave it our all. I’m still proud of my team. We put on a good show, even if we didn’t get any points. We’ll work on that for the next game.
Ajorque: “I’m proud of my team, we tried until the very end.”
At the end, did you ask your teammates to come off? Were they exhausted or was it a lack of maturity?
I think they were tired, we all were. But I’m a competitor, I don’t like losing. When you’re losing 2-0 with 10 minutes to go, I think you have to go for it, push them. Unfortunately, we missed a few chances to get back into the game. But I’m proud of my team, we tried until the end.
