This Saturday, on the ninth matchday of Ligue 1 2025-2026, Paris Saint-Germain faced Brest at the Stade Francis Le-Blé. After a match in which Les Rouge et Bleu controlled proceedings with ease, they won 3-0. Here are our ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Lucas Chevalier (5) – He didn’t exude great confidence in his interventions (such as his half-clearance on the penalty conceded), but he didn’t make any serious mistakes either. He was very clean with his feet.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (7.5) – He scored a very nice double, which was a fitting reward for all his efforts to create danger and defend his flank. He picked up a somewhat avoidable yellow card for a defensive mistake.
Ilya Zabarnyi (6) – The Ukrainian defender held his own in aerial duels and was solid in his distribution. However, he was a little less reassuring than usual on the ground. Notably, he played a back pass, even though there was an offside at the start of the move.
Willian Pacho (7) – Always very solid, he is a bit of an absolute safety net. Replaced in the 65th minute by Marquinhos.
Lucas Hernandez (6.5) – He fulfilled his defensive role very well and confirmed that he is in good physical shape. His offensive contribution was more limited, with his passes often being on the safe side.
Midfielders –
Warren Zaïre-Emery (7) – The 19-year-old midfielder put in a tremendous defensive effort and wasn’t always inspired offensively, but he made a few breakthroughs and provided a beautiful assist for Doué.
Vitinha (7.5) – Always the metronome of Parisian play, he provided a beautiful assist to Hakimi for the opening goal. He was a little less visible at the start of the second half.
Lee Kang-In (5.5) – We’ve seen him have more influence on the game, even if he didn’t miss much. It should be noted that he still tried hard. He was guilty of a regrettable handball that led to Brest’s penalty, which fortunately had no consequences. He was replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 65th minute.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (6) – A little messy, he seemed a little more comfortable once he was moved to the left. He was as generous as ever and still managed to provide the assist for Hakimi’s second goal. Replaced by Désiré Doué in the 69th minute.
Senny Mayulu (5.5) – Lots of movement in attack, defensive efforts, but relatively little impact on chances. Replaced in the 78th minute by Quentin Ndjantou.
Bradley Barcola (5) – With his experience and status, we expect more than just a few good bursts of speed and defensive efforts. Replaced in the 78th minute by Gonçalo Ramos.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (7) – His team calmly managed the game, as he did with his players’ playing time. Not to mention getting everyone involved.
