This week saw the first-leg play-offs for the Champions League 2024-2025. As a result, UEFA is organizing a series of fan votes. Paris Saint-Germain, who beat Brest at the Parc des Princes today (7-0, video highlights PSG/Brest, 10-0 overall), has 2 players selected in UEFA’s Team of the Week: Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder) and Nuno Mendes (22-year-old left-back).
There are some Parisians in this standard team, and it was almost obvious given the performance against Brest. But it was more difficult to know who would be selected, as it was above all a team that won. In fact, despite a 7-0 victory, there’s no striker in the squad, as the goals and almost all the assists were distributed.
