Noham Kamara, 18-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender, has just signed his first professional contract, tying him to the club until 2028. In an interview with PSG TV, he discussed his early days and his goals within the professional squad.
Kamara: “When you’re a kid, you think it’s unimaginable.”
“It’s a great pride to sign this first professional contract, especially with the biggest club in the world right now. I first wanted to thank the president and the coach who gave me this opportunity to move up to the first team. It’s a dream.” When you’re a kid, you think it’s unimaginable, so to actually experience it, I still haven’t fully grasped it.”
Kamara: “The strength of a team is truly being a family.”
“Everything happened very quickly for me. I arrived last July; it was my first time at a training center. I was able to play with the U19s, then move up to the first team at a time when they were achieving great things. The strength of a team is truly being a family. Here, we’re like a group of kids, united despite the fact that we each come from different countries and places.”
Kamara: “My goal is to progress alongside the best players in the world.”
“The first advice I received was to have fun above all. Against Strasbourg was my first professional debut; it was a magnificent moment, one I’ll never forget.” Now, my goal is to progress alongside the best players in the world and have as much playing time as possible.”
