Ousmane Dembélé, the 28-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker, spoke to beIN SPORTS after the 2-0 victory against Lens this Wednesday at the Stade Bollaert in a rescheduled match from Matchday 29 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season.
Dembélé: “We’re going to stay focused.”
Did you give it your all tonight?
Yes, that’s right. We wanted to come here and win, and we also wanted to prepare, especially for the final on May 30th. We had to play a serious match. There’s another one on Sunday, and then we’ll celebrate because it’s official: we’re champions.
Are you going to relax and celebrate tonight?
A little, but not too much. We still have a match on Sunday. We’re going to stay focused.
Dembélé: “On May 30th, we have something big planned for all Paris Saint-Germain fans.”
On a personal level, is it another great season? Still in contention for the Ballon d’Or?
I’m very relaxed. Individual trophies come later. If they come, great, if not, that’s life. The most important thing is the team titles. We won the League, the Super Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup too. On May 30th, we have something big planned for all Paris Saint-Germain fans.
Being applauded by the Lens fans, does that recognition feel good?
It feels good, especially with a crowd like that, which is exceptional. We wish them good luck in the final.
