khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Paris Saint-Germain’s 24-year-old striker, has been shining since his arrival at the capital club in the summer mercato. In an interview with PSG TV, the Georgian looks back on his first French league title, as well as the Champions League, still on the horizon.
Kvaratskhelia “The concentration is still there”
“The French title?
There’s still a chance of winning two more titles, and we’ll give everything we’ve got on the field to achieve that.
We’re working hard to win what we deserve. We’re giving it everything we’ve got. Our concentration is still there, because nothing is decided for us yet. We’ll have to give it everything we’ve got.
Kvaratskhelia “all this will have a positive impact and that it will help us against Arsenal.”
The Champions League?
“Its name says it all: the Champions League. It’s a tournament for champions, and every club has the ability and skill to win it. We’ll have to stay focused on our game, to concentrate fully on every match and every moment.
It’s really positive to have a better understanding of English soccer now, especially after facing teams like Liverpool and Aston Villa.
It wasn’t easy to face them on the pitch, but we gave it our all. I think all this will have a positive impact and help us against Arsenal.”
PSG may not be able to break the Ligue 1 unbeaten record, but their season in the French top flight remains almost perfect. To finish as champions at the beginning of April, with such consistency and determination in every match, is something quite out of the ordinary for any team.
The main objective at the end of the season is now the Champions League. Having qualified for the semi-finals, PSG are two games away from making history once again.
Reaching the final would be a historic moment for the club, which only reached the final 8 in 2020. PSG has proved this season that it is capable of great feats, and it still has two more to achieve before it becomes a legend.
