Ousmane Dembélé, Paris Saint-Germain’s 28-year-old right winger, spoke to Canal+ following the Parisians’ 0-2 victory against Liverpool this Tuesday at Anfield. The win came in the Champions League quarter-final second leg (0-4 on aggregate) for the 2025-2026 season.
Dembélé: “It’s only natural. This is the Champions League.”
Was the qualification tougher than you expected?
“We are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League; even with a 2-0 lead [from the first leg], we knew it would be difficult. There are no easy matches. We knew we were going to suffer. The first half was better, then we were under pressure. But that’s only natural. This is the Champions League.”
Dembélé: “I want to help my team”
You seem determined to make up for your start to the season?
“I’ve wanted to showcase my football for a long time now. In every match, I want to help my team, whether that’s through a goal, an assist, or pressing. I want to help PSG. There are some major fixtures coming up at the end of the season.”
