This Tuesday, in the second leg of the 2025-2026 Champions League quarter-final (2-0 in the first leg), Paris Saint-Germain faces Liverpool at Anfield (kick-off at 9 pm, CET). Ahead of this match, the press has been trying to predict the starting lineup that Parisian coach Luis Enrique will field.
Le Parisien (4-3-3) –
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Doué
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Safonov
L’Equipe (4-3-3) –
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Doué
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Safonov
These lineups are quite credible, since no rotation is expected for such a match. There’s a lot of competition at PSG, but it has also allowed them to establish a near-ideal starting eleven, except perhaps for a few players.
For example, in attack, there seem to be three spots for four players. Bradley Barcola is back; he’s had time to prepare. However, it’s still a return from injury. There’s also the big question of whether to start him as a threat in behind the defense or use him towards the end of the match to punish a potentially tired PSG side.
That’s the big question for this match. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement, about an hour before kickoff, for confirmation. And let’s not forget that a surprise is always possible with Luis Enrique, who doesn’t give any hints to the media.
