This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Olympique Lyonnais (6th) at Groupama Stadium for the 23rd day of Ligue 1 2024-2025 (kick-off 9.05pm, UTC+1). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
As ever, it’s difficult to fully guess the team chosen by the Spanish coach. There’s a backbone that we’re expecting to see for this difficult trip, but also a few possible choices to respond to a precise analysis of the opponent. Or for rotation, a few days after the second leg of the Champions League play-off, when there’s the Coupe de France quarter-final on Wednesday against Stade Briochin.
We also need to keep everyone involved, which is essential for Luis Enrique. So we’ll wait for the certainties and continue to try to be as close as possible (often around 8-9 players at least to the team finally lined up).
Possible line-up –
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Barcola
Doué – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma
Substitutes – Safonov, Tenas, Beraldo, Hernandez, Kimpembe, Lee, Mayulu, Ruiz, Ramos.
Out – Zaïre-Emery (injury), El Hannach, Mbaye, Tape, Zague (choice).
Possible yellow card suspensions: Mayulu and Barcola.
The suspension would take effect from Tuesday March 4, against Rennes on the following weekend for Ligue 1 matchday 25.
