Kylian Mbappé, the 26-year-old French national team striker, is now at Real Madrid after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. However, the matter is not yet fully resolved between the player and the club where he spent seven years. The French international is in a financial dispute with Paris over unpaid bonuses and wages, while PSG maintains that an agreement had been reached. Recently, his lawyers announced a series of legal actions, to which PSG responded. On Wednesday, in an interview with L’Equipe, the player spoke about this difficult situation.

“It’s my right, it’s labor law. Because of the legal process, it gave the impression that I wanted to harm PSG. I signed a work contract. I just wanted to be paid. I have nothing against PSG, I love this club, I have friends there.

But this is the only way to get what I’m owed, something I earned with my hard work. Whether you like it or not, it’s still a job. But I already knew I wasn’t being paid when I was at PSG. When the money doesn’t come, you notice. I could have made a scene while I was there, but I thought it wasn’t worth it.

Mbappé: “If it could have been resolved in a meeting, I would have left, received my salary, and this whole thing would never have happened.”

But when you see you’re not being paid, at some point, you have to react. But then you quickly become the angry ex-employee… If it could have been resolved in a meeting, I would have left, received my salary, and this whole thing would never have happened.”

It’s understandable that Mbappé is defending his position and asserting his right to the amount of money he believes he deserves. This is the crux of the dispute, since PSG claims that an agreement had been reached. We can’t really say much more; it’s up to the legal system to resolve this matter and reach a fair outcome. Until then, each party will naturally defend its own interests.

It’s also worth noting that the forward continues to communicate publicly, expressing affection for PSG and portraying himself as a victim. He argues that it’s not his fault that this situation has arisen and that it’s unfair that his image is being tarnished. We’ve seen this before; it’s the same tactic they used when the team was performing poorly.”
