Kylian Mbappé has been in turmoil for several days now. His visit to Stockholm in the middle of an international break was frowned upon, and now there’s an accusation of rape. When the latter was announced, the 25-year-old striker, who left Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid this summer and has a financial dispute with his former club, suggested that he was a media victim. This led to the idea of an attack by the Parisian club. His lawyer, Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, replied to BFM TV.

Mbappé is indeed in the middle of several affairs at the same time. There’s no denying it. Which may be to PSG’s advantage, at least in terms of image.
But it’s far too easy to blame the Parisian club. Which would hardly be responsible for a trip to Sweden, for example. And then the accusation. The most logical link between the various cases remains Mbappé. It’s a nice attempt to put the spotlight elsewhere. Except that you have to bear in mind that the player could have got into trouble on his own.
For the time being, let’s let the law do its job. In the meantime, it would be a good idea to stop accusing the Parisian club on the basis of unproven theories.
