Gianluigi Donnarumma, the 26-year-old goalkeeper who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 with a contract running until 2026 (following the end of his own at AC Milan), is regularly called into question by fans and observers alike. An extension is currently under discussion, but nothing has been done. Corriere della Sera reported on Saturday that this is a long way off.
“CorSera : Gigio Donnarumma opens the door to a move to Inter. The PSG goalkeeper is keen to return to Italy and develop professionally. There, he would be reunited with Gianluca Spinelli, the trainer who helped him grow and who is considered the best of all.”
Nothing impossible, since Inter Milan is a great club and we can’t rule out Donnarumma playing in Serie A again one day. But we’d have to err on the side of caution, as there’s nothing concrete.
Above all, the Italian goalkeeper has reiterated in recent weeks his desire to continue at PSG, his agent has also gone in that direction and the club has no reason to push him to leave. A transfer remains a distant prospect for the time being. All the more so at Inter Milan, the great rival of his training club, AC Milan.
It could simply be a rumour to spice things up a bit, or a pressure tactic in the negotiations. Let’s wait and see if there’s anything more concrete.
