Viktor Gyökeres, 26-year-old striker for Sporting Portugal (contract runs until 2028) and Sweden, has been making a name for himself for some time now with a string of goals and assists. Unsurprisingly, this has attracted rumors, and Paris Saint-Germain is involved. This Tuesday, A Bola reports that a less expensive transfer than expected is taking shape, but without PSG.
“According to A Bola, Gyökeres favours a move to the Premier League, with ‘a preference’ for joining Liverpool, ManCity or Arsenal
To the detriment of clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern and PSG
Sporting have already set a price: 70M, despite the 100M clause.”
There’s nothing concrete, so we’re necessarily remaining very cautious. However, the Premier League is often mentioned for the Swedish international, and there’s nothing to suggest that PSG could be a favourite. Nor even that an offer would be made, although there has never been any confirmation of this. Paris may have other ideas, and so may the player.
Let’s wait and see, as the mercato is a long way off and a lot can still happen. For the moment, we’re concentrating more on the Champions League tonight against Liverpool.
