Viktor Gyökeres, 26-year-old striker for Sporting Portugal (contract runs until 2028) and Sweden, has been making a name for himself for some time now with a string of goals and assists. Unsurprisingly, this has attracted rumors, and Paris Saint-Germain is involved. This Wednesday, the Swedish international responded to these rumors in his country’s newspaper Sportbladet.
“Playing for one of the best teams in Europe, that’s the goal.”
We can by no means say that Gyökeres is necessarily aiming for PSG, but it’s at least an open door to a transfer. And we can imagine that it’s not too late, even if those who are thinking of this winter are probably a little too optimistic.
In any case, the Swede may have many other destinations in mind. Not least the Premier League. Not to mention the fact that we don’t know how much Paris wants to spend on this position when there’s Gonçalo Ramos and other possible recruits.
But it’s undoubtedly one of the big projects of the coming months, especially as the striker has left it open.
