Randal Kolo Muani, the 26-year-old striker signed by Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028, was one of the club’s biggest transfers when he arrived at the summer mercato in September 2023. However, he has failed to make his mark and a departure is looming. L’Equipe reports this Tuesday evening that the player has accepted the idea of a departure, while a number of clubs are on the lookout. PSG are also said to have an idea of the price.
“Some clubs are sniffing out the right opportunity. These include AC Milan, Aston Villa, Juventus, Tottenham, Leipzig, Manchester United and Bayern Munich. According to sources close to the matter, Chelsea are not among the candidates, and the Bundesliga seems to be the most likely destination at the moment, which implies that things could change.
The former Nantes player, marked by his downgrading, has come to his senses and is ready to leave the capital. Given this situation, both the player and his club are willing to find an arrangement that satisfies everyone. But it won’t be a straight loan.
PSG’s priority is to transfer the player without selling him off (ideally, they hope to recoup at least €60m). A loan with an option to buy could also be suitable, but the terms need to be defined, i.e. who will pay the salary, the amount of the option, the conditions for exercising it, etc.”
We remain cautious, as this is still just a rumour in a case where broad strokes are a little easy. Kolo Muani should logically be on his way out, as he is no longer called up to the squad. Paris will be looking to replace him, and he will be looking for game time.
As he’s a French international who’s been pretty good over the last few breaks, there’s hope of a transfer at a rather attractive price for PSG. But we’re wary of the figures, as no negotiations seem to be in progress.
We also see here that it is stressed that Chelsea are not in the running, while others claim that they are. A little reminder to be careful.
