Having arrived from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023, 29-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has yet to find his place at Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, but already a departure seems likely as the Slovak international is no longer playing. This Wednesday, Sky Sport‘s Florian Plettenberg reports that Galatasaray are struggling to make progress with their loan offer, but are continuing to hold talks.
“Galatasaray are still working on signing Milan Skriniar during the winter transfer window. Discussions are continuing.
Gala is offering Paris Saint-Germain a loan deal with an option to buy. There’s no agreement yet with PSG or the player. It’s not easy. However, Galatasaray is not giving up.”
We remain cautious, as the dossier continues to be unclear. It’s worth noting that there was talk of a possible swift transfer with Skriniar’s agreement already in place, but then the file slipped into a stalemate and other possible destinations.
It’s hard to know where discussions really stand, especially as there’s nothing official. Galatasaray may well be moving on to other leads, just as the defender and PSG may have other ideas. We’ll just have to wait and see, as is often the case at the height of the market.
