Layvin Kurzawa, the 32-year-old left-back, left Paris Saint-Germain in the summer after his contract expired following months without playing. According to Le Parisien, he is now undergoing his medical with Boavista,

“Layvin Kurzawa passed his medical with Boavista on Thursday, where a 6-month contract awaits him. Before his arrival can be validated, the Portuguese club is waiting for its recruitment ban to be lifted.”

This is the destination that has been mooted in recent hours for Kurzawa, who could finally relaunch his career. However, Boavista’s mercato situation has thrown a spanner in the works.

It would be a particular challenge for the full-back, with the Portuguese league’s bottom club in a race for survival. The length of his contract also sends out a message: he has a few months to convince Boavista and any potential suitors that he can still make a fine end to his career.
