Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the 23-year-old SSC Napoli striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club didn’t open the door despite pressure from his entourage. There is a Parisian attempt this winter. Journalists Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto confirm that the player is in favor of a transfer and that discussions with Napoli are ongoing.
“Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is pressing for a January transfer.
Paris Saint-Germain is seeking a financial agreement with Napoli.
Negotiations are ongoing between the parties.”
Confirmations are arriving fast and there is already talk of negotiations moving forward, which is a good sign. However, nothing is certain yet. We’re wary that Neapolitan president Aurelio De Laurentiis could bring the deal to a halt.
But we can only hope that the media are not being so assertive for nothing. PSG made an offer in the summer and Kvaratskhelia was ready to come, so another attempt is possible this winter. Perhaps Napoli will be a little more receptive, with the Georgian still refusing to extend his contract and seemingly unable to come to terms with his non-departure.
Not to mention that Paris is also reportedly offering Milan Skriniar (29) in the transfer deal. This could help solve a mercato problem for both Napoli and PSG.
